It's amazing how long I've been subjected by modern day shipping companies. For years I haven't realized how much money I've spent shipping packages. Shipping overall is not the best experience for many people. With very poor customer service, a multitude of steps, charges that are bloated, and other major issues it makes one feel put off. Their services offered is so poor one would think that they try to make people not want to send stuff at all.

Shipping goods all over the world MUST CHANGE! For many small to medium sized businesses it's a burden to ship in a cost-effective manner. Amazon.com, Etsy, ebay.com, etc... and many other online sites can afford to offer free and next day shipping since they have the money and volume of shipments to do so. Plus, a site like Amazon.com has warehouses spread out through the U.S. which also makes shipping affordable. What Amazon calls Fulfillment Centers.
Most people do not have millions of consumers spread out throughout the world or the ability to build Fulfillment Centers. Many small to mid-size businesses have to rely on FedEx, DHL, USPS, and other couriers. The downside is the cost that's killing many merchants. Fuel costs, for one are not charged to customers based on how much it actually costs to get your package from point A to point B. There's various calculations that include surcharges before you even place an order! About 25% of your bill is charged before you even choose where to ship, that makes it much more than reality.
When reading the consumer reviews of a courier like DHL. Which anyone can read at:

You ask yourself how do these companies stay in business? It's like they wake up in the morning and say "Gee, how can we piss people off today!" Ok, they don't do that. But, the service to customers is very very poor. There's an entire reason for such confusion that we can point to. Which is why we setup Voyago (we're getting the app launched now). Voyago gets back to basics. It's all about making the customer happy! Plus, it's about getting a package from point A to point B, that's it. Voyago keeps this goal in mind and everything else is errata.
