Into 2018 Alive and Well!

What a 2017! From the beginning of the year our team wanted to do something different. Challenge how shipping is done around the world. Today, FedEx, DHL, Post, USPS, UPS, and a slew of others have the logistics business working in their favor. They have the prestige most consumers can trust. One area however, they've missed is the "smart-phone" generation. The "I-WANT-IT-NOW" demographic who wants free shipping, no surcharges, and the ability to send mail watching Netflix on the couch, while still checking their Facebook updates.

Whenever you need to send a package from one place to another Voyago is the company you should be thinking about. The Voyago team thought how can we compete with the giants in the biz? Our focus is on international shipping. For most people shipping is getting more and more expensive. The cost of fuel in 2018 is rising even more. Which means... ding, ding, ding, yes you have to pay even more for getting packages and mail sent around the world.

2018 is going to be different. Voyago is not a house-hold name but that could change. We have developed a cool feature in our app that will make getting parcels sent anywhere in the world simple and quick... and affordable. Plus, the new features coming soon will make getting around easier If you're in a new town. Another area we are "cracking" though is getting more and more people on the wave.

This year or in the next few months we will start hiring people and get office space rented in Amsterdam. We set our sights on The Netherlands because the climate is inviting start-ups and those wanting to be in a cool town. A co-founder visited the area several months back and overall it's a nice city to have an awesome start-up like Voyago.

It's amazing how long I've been subjected by modern day shipping companies. For years I haven't realized how much money I've spent shipping packages. Shipping overall is not the best experience for many people. With very poor customer service, a multitude of steps, charges that are bloated, and other major issues it makes one feel put off. Their services offered is so poor one would think that they try to make people not want to send stuff at all. Shipping goods all over the world MUST CHANGE! For many small to medium sized businesses it's a burden to ship in a cost-effective manner. Amazon.com, Etsy, ebay.com, etc... and many other online sites can afford to offer free and next day shipping since they have the money and volume of shipments to do so. Voyago App is launched!

We have made excellent progress this month. The Voyago app is finally launched. Wow, it's amazing how much work and effort is needed to build an app. My respect for many developers and coders who find the long hours to build an app. Voyago started months ago with a simple idea. What If we could bundle all the resources of the shipping/courier process in a single app. We set out to research and work our butts off to ensure that Voyago made getting packages from one part of the world to the next. The task of such a process was intense. We had many obstacles and challenges in such a monumental task. How would we tap into our social networks? What about scanning technologies? And most of all who would pay for this?
